Brandon Fisher, MSc

An epiphany of how Brandon could make a difference struck him as a teenager while watching the 1970s science fiction and action television series "The Six Million Dollar Man." Specifically, the show's main character, astronaut Steve Austin, received bionic limbs after a catastrophic accident. Watching the show ignited a spark, directing him to pursue biomedical engineering with a focus in neuroscience and neurodegenerative research.

By leveraging machine learning techniques such as random forest classifiers, Brandon develops predictive models to help identify individuals at risk for neurodegenerative diseases, enabling earlier detection and intervention. Brandon hopes to one day pursue a PhD in neuroscience.
