Mapping Physiology and Connectivity in Diseased Brain
Many diseases of the nervous system are characterized by altered physiology. We create tools that investigate how brain activity changes at subcellular resolution, so we can understand how pathological molecular events reshape the entire network activity, and lead to cognitive decline.
Projects Under Mapping Physiology and Connectivity in Diseased Brain:
○ Understanding neural morphology in live brains, in order to see defects in neural development, changes in physiology during disease.
○ Super-resolution physiological imaging, to assess the brain’s altered physiology at the dendrite level.
