Common microbes (viruses, bacteria and fungi) may play a significant role in neurodegeneration! Using multiple tools we possess and invent, we investigate the Pathogen Hypothesis, namely the role of microbes in contributing to Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, CTE and ALS.
Projects Under Infectious Neuroscience:
○ The role of viruses in Alzheimer’s disease.
○ The role of bacteria in Alzheimer’s disease.
○ The role of pathogens in Parkinson’s disease.
